Brett believes that few things affect our quality of life as much as the public realm, and he strives to contribute to the public good by promoting a higher standard of living for all. Brett’s early experience in civil engineering gives him an edge in the creative world of landscape architecture, helping him navigate complex site constraints while elevating design quality.

With a drive to provide high-quality design to clients in a way that is pleasant and respectful, Brett reliably delivers thoughtful and practical designs for both public realm and private projects. He strives for quality at all stages of design as he believes that a design is only as good as the execution and implementation of that design. One of his proudest moments was when a construction manager on a development once told him that his team’s construction drawing set was the most complete and clearest of all the disciplines on the project. Brett brings that detailed, relational style to Knot, where he sees an openness to new ideas and new ways of working that enrich the work.
