TriMet Transit Central Police Precinct

Opened in 2020, this 17,000 sf build out/tenant improvement in Portland’s Lloyd District was specifically designed to serve TriMet’s safety and security personnel in a new facility.  To support the transit agency’s goal of creating a central hub for staff to recharge and connect, the design team collaborated to create a flexible, warm, and safe work environment.  The bright interior also includes transformable public spaces to support the agency’s mission of engaging the community.

Knot Studio’s interior experiential graphic design celebrates simple details and complementary finishes while easing building navigation for staff and visitors. The bright interior makes way for a sign system that harmonizes with the warm and neutral architectural details. With a subtle design and timeless finishes, Knot Studio’s wayfinding, operational, and security sign program enhances visitor flow and offers a seamless, elegant accent to the multi-purpose space.
