The Abigail

Portland, OR

The Abigail, named for Abigail Scott Duniway, a Portland businesswoman and activist who was instrumental in gaining voting rights for women in the State of Oregon in 1912, is a high-density mixed-use development on the north end of the Pearl District. The project features a mix of market-rate and affordable housing units focusing on families with children.

The site development features three distinct courtyard spaces: A south-facing “living room” featuring open space for events, seating, and stormwater features activated in a rain event, a north-facing private garden with seating, and a northeast-facing playground.
