Darsey’s career as a graphic designer is ultimately a way for her to work alongside interesting people doing important things. Led by deep-rooted empathy, she’s drawn to clients and projects that move us toward a brighter future. Her experience in advertising, non-profits, branding, exhibits and editorial design offers a broad foundation of expertise to draw on for her role at Knot Studio, where she channels the studio’s voice into print, digital and social mediums. But her secret skill is her stick-to-it-ness: Darsey sees her projects through from idea to completion, on-time and on-budget, leading with focused confidence.

A fastidious communicator and deeply relational, Darsey takes her time to understand the people behind the projects she takes on. To her, the best design comes from unique challenges and open-ended solutions—her careful listening at a project’s outset is what guides her to solid solutions. She’s a visual storyteller, and thrives when she’s sharing exciting stories of her clients with a broad audience.
